    df = [(3x +3e^(-y)] dx + [xe^(-y)]dy

    you just have to replace i(hat) with dx and j(hat) with dy

    df = < 3 , 3 e^(-y) > dx + < - 3 e^(-y) , - 3x e^(-y) > dy
