What will be a quick and efficient process for upgrading 50 employee PC’s?

not sure what you are asking. do you mean what hardware item makes the most sense as an upgrade? the answer is very likely getting them all ssd's, but this varies depending on what the current deficiencies are.
do you mean how, physically, should a bunch of pc's be upgraded to be efficient? just go to each one and put in the new hardware, nothing to it.

depends on the pc in question what age and model of processors it supports if all pc are the same and what they are using the pc for how long employer has had the 50 pcs
the most efficient way if its 8 years old is going down the apu route as its inexpensive and cheap
fm2 plus a88x motherboard micro atx
a8 6500k or a6 6400k are good for office pcs the diffrence is core count if your using alot of programs get the a8 if your using programs that only take advantage of 2 cores then go a6 route.
ram 6gb or 8gb of
1866mhz ram or 2133mhz ram depending on price though 2133mhz is future proofing as apu take advantage of fast ram
new harddrive with a cache of least 32mb or 64mb hybrid drive 500gb or 1tb depending on price
and getting a brand new os of either windows 7 or 8.1 though most dont like 8.1 due to its widget app like qualitys.
