Why are there no good Christian rock radio stations?

And the ones that are decent also play Christian pop and rap songs. Are there any good radio stations that only play Christian/Positive rock songs?

I agree with the other two answers. Other than Skillet, every bit of Christian rock I have heard is either knockoff or hack work. Remember, radio is a business. K-Love got around the limitations by being the radio version of The 700 Club, with music instead of preaching. Other Christian stations struggle because there is just not as large an audience for strictly Christian music as people believe. Nobody is going to invest in a multimillion dollar venture that will fail. The history is there. Business is business. K-Love solicits donations as a non-profit.

Many Christian bands are mainstream: U2 and Collective Soul come to mind. Better Than Ezra out of New Orleans had some hits in the 90s and were a fine rock band. The key? None of these bands advertise themselves as Christian rock. Ed Roland of Collective soul once said "We'd rather be known as Christians than a Christian band."
