US Navy SECF jobs?

Hi, My husband just left for Navy bootcamp three days ago. Ive been trying to do as much research as I can regarding his job. So far from what Ive read after BESS he will get his "dream sheet" of choices between four jobs that fall under SECF (sonar, navigation...etc).

From what I've gathered so far, the SSGN/SSBN are ideal for married men.

Is that true? why?

Are any of the four jobs more geared towards different subs?

i.e. if he picks sonar is he more likely to be places on a SSBN?

Thanks in advance!

SSGN/SSBN's have two crews blue/gold and generally their deployments/patrols are shorter whuch is the main reason its easier on married life I'd imagine. I know in AECF the non submarine version of the field the navy picks what you specialize in so in SECF I would assume they do something similar. Since all subs need ET's FT's and STS's equally where he is stationed and on what type of boat is really dependent on how well he does in A/C school and the needs of the navy.
