Several books with tragic endings have lesson in them that are often hard to find. Often times, the lesson to be learned are hard for us to understand and yet when that happens we often question why an event in our life has happened the way it did.

Yes i think its good try to incorporate something about how george did what was best for leenie. He shot him even though it would cause him soo much pain and possibly going to prison, to save him. So maybe incorporate something about selflessness and how he helped his friend. For leenies best intrest and how sometimes you have to help other people regardless of what happens to you. Hope this helped and that you got the right idea!
