I dont understand the comparison test. Could you describe it in laymen terms?
I know that you are basically comparing two fractions; but how is the conclusion reached (of whether one is convergent or divergent) reached? What is it exactly that you are supposed to "look" for when doing a direct comparison test???

Suppose you're short and I'm shorter than you are. Then I am short.
Suppose you're short and I'm taller than you are. Then I could be short too; or I could be tall.
Suppose you're tall and I'm shorter than you are. Then I could be tall too; or I could be short.
Suppose you're tall and I'm taller than you are. Then I am tall.
Suppose (from some point on) that the terms of sequence A are all less than the terms of sequence B and suppose we kinow that sequence B is convergent. Then sequence A is convergent.
