I am excited about Conor. Both my parents are basically full irish and my family history book shows how I came from farmers on the west side of Ireland. So I always felt strongly connected there. I like the way Fedor carries himself, I always like humble people. But Conor is doing it for the show, underneath he is good. He always says good things about his opponents afterwards.
As far as school, in MMA, I am not sure. They have boxing of course, But, I like how he does Capoeira, I always believed strongly in this. Mainly, because it deals with the artistic side in striking and you can actually visualize fighting better imo when in the moment of this skill. But MMA is new in ireland, so I am not sure how much support it gets.
My opinion about ireland in MMA. The only thing I worry about is the lack of wrestling. But, their culture and way of life style will produce great MMA fighters. Any race can be the best, but, allot of advantages has to do with the lifestyle or way of living. I think Ireland is geared to making good MMA fighters for that reason. Same with Italy, Russia, and Holland. In time, wrestling will grow. Ireland already has great boxing support. So we will see. Conor is the gateway for MMA growing in Ireland.
