Because some western nations support anarchy in China. After winning against the Japanese in WWll, from 1945 to 1947, western powers supported the Nationalist armies of Kuomingtang but the communist managed to kick the Nationalists into Taiwan.

The Dalai Lama then seek independence from China but was exiled (to India). From outside of China, the Dalai Lama was supported by the western powers.

Historically, the British India tried to trick the previous Dalai Lama into signing the pact of having Tibet come under India in 1904, but Beijing protested and did not recognise the pact as Tibet was under China and no one in Tibet could sign any agreement with another country on the destiny of Tibet. *Tibet was under China's rule since the Yuan dynasty after the Mongol conquest and had been the territory of China for 700 years.

He might have good intention to have an independent Tibet, but that does not concur with reality. Imagine a scenario that the 20% African Americans wanting to form their own independent nation in the future, and want 10 states segregated from the US breaking away to form that nation state. I don't think the US would ever allow it to happen.

Similarly, when the Irish wanted independence from UK, it was met with military suppression.

The Chinese propaganda machine has sucked you in. He does not preach hate, but forgiveness. There is no one closer than the biblical Jesus than His Holiness, certainly not the christians
