My two personal favorites are Count Basie (particularly his song 'the Git') anything from him. My band teacher introduced me to him when I first started jazz band and I've been hooked on him since. The Big Phat band is a newer jazz band but they have some pretty good songs. We did count bubba as a swing piece which was amazing recorded and produced by them. I know the song and I want to say it's done by count baise but I might be wrong someone might know butter but Oclupaca is another song you could listen to. Anything by Armstrong. The summer of 42 by the SNL band is an amazing saxophone solo if you're into those. Buddy Rich's band have some good songs (not to mention he is my favorite jazz drummer.) these are just a few I know that I listen to when I'm on a kick. Also anything from Glenn Miller.
