Is Luxor Governorate 55 sq km or 2,409.68 sq km?

On http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luxor_Governorate, in the box is says 55 sq km, but under geography, it says 2,409.68 sq km.

    Let's look at this way. The capital of Luxor Governorate is the city of Luxor with a population of 487,896 (2010 estimate), and an area of approximately 416 square kilometres. That size is reasonable for an Egyptian city of almost 500,000. So from that it would follow that the Luxor Governorate must be larger than 416 sq km. The mention of 55 sq km must be an error, and the larger number is backed up here:
