What direct evidence is there against Amanda Knox?
I haven't been that close to this trial but I have never heard of any evidence that directly links her to the murder. Does anyone know?

The most damning evidence against Amanda, is Amanda's own words and actions.
The REPEATED lies she told to the police.....the false charges she brought against a totally innocent man, her own changing story, which evolved and got better and better after each FALSE STORY was proven to be false.......her own boyfriend NOT backing up her version of events in court.........and her own wonderfully vague and ridiculous "hand written statement" ....in ENGLISH........where she rambled about not being able to remember events that seemed like a dream....and she wasn't SURE IF they were "real" or not.
Coupled with her 5 different versions of events that night.........where first she was there and heard Meredith scream........to then she wasn't there.......but then, she remembered she WAS there, and the barkeeper did it..........to watching some imaginary film, with her boyfriend..........but she was too "stoned" to remember any details.........then when the barkeeper was cleared......she went back to not being there at all......and only "imagined" Merediths screams.
Yeah, 7 years later......her memory is so excellent.......that she fills an entire book with her "recollections"..........yet a day after the murder........she could barely decide what her own name was-----and what was "real or not".
Yeah, just how big was that blunt she smoked.....that made her memory so fuzzy a day later?
and fuzzy memory or not...........gee whiz.........the girl was still dead, wasn't she?
How convienient to "forget" how that happened.
and may I just add for any American still strumming that "double jeopardy" banjo.....
The US should absolutely extradite here. We have legal treaties.............she's been given EVERY consideration....and even NOW, **still** has one final appeal left.
If after that appeal, the conviction is again upheld..........then there's no more questions.
She can cry all she wants.............NO ONE *wants* to go to prison..........but she should have thought of that, before she lied to police, framed innocent men, and murdered her roommate.
Americans, (which I am one)........seem to be under some bizarre notion that she was ever declared "Innocent".
That NEVER occured.
What happned was...........her original conviction was APPEALED................by Italian law, it's AUTOMATIC.
In that appeal, it was decided that there was *enough* reason, to hold the trial again,...and some questions were not fully explored or answered in the first trial.
She was therefore RELEASED from Prison, pending the NEW TRIAL.....since, the new trial was ordered, and you don't keep people in jail before a verdict is reached.
She served no amount of unfair time in jail, since she *WAS* convicted of framing the bar owner, and got a seperate 4 years for that alone. And THAT charge WAS upheld at her first appeal. There was also a slander charge after that..........which is why her sentence was increased this time.
There has been no "double jeopardy"..........because it's the SAME trial.........just going thru the endless appeals process.
Think of it, as a murderer on Death row for 20 years........exhausting all their appeals.
Except, in this case......political pressure of having the poor baby in some nasty Italian jail was applied.......and they came up with a ruling that effectively granted her freedom.........while saying the appeals process must continue. It was a window of opportunity for her to FLEE.........and FLEE she did. She ran back to the United States and wrote books about her "innocence"
But right after she fled............the same court system reviewed the RULING that let her out of jail, pending the new trial, and found it be without any legal merit whatsoever.
In other words............a back door political deal was made.......they let her go..........and then quickly reversed the decision that let her go.
That brings us to the new trial.....and re-examination of the facts, and not surprisingly, she was found as guilty as the first time.
She has the SAME AUTOMATIC RIGHT.....to appeal *THIS* decision now to Italy's highest court.....and if found guilty THERE..........then that's the end of the line.
Then , extradiction requests should be made and kept.
anyone remotely familiar with the facts of the case.......knows they are guilty and lied their azzes off.
Her act fools no one.......except people who read the "Injustice in Perugia" website........which is like getting your facts about 9-11 off some Truther website.
She's been solidly found guilty TWICE now.......using the same evidence.
Her stories and alibi's and whining, didn't add up to a pile of spit.Source(s): exactly?? see?????? anyone *defending* Amanda Always instantly quotes the "Injustice in Perugia website. That's like getting your facts about 9-11, off some truther website. That site is run , funded and paid for, by people with the agenda to distort the facts, The site is famous for all the things they DON'T list......and DON'T ever, ONCE question Amanda about. Instead it babbles about broken clocks across the Street that prove this or that. It doesn't explain SH*T about why Amanda lied to police repeatedly.......framed an innocent man for murder........(the very thing she is so indignant about being accused of herself........) or her 5 page hand written confession, which was a MASTERPIECE of vagueness and BS.

Anyone who has ever been interrogated without legal counsel for hours, denied water or food, physically threatened and perhaps abused, being questioned and shouted at in a language with which you are not fluent, can be expected to have disparate stories. I don't expect a 20-year old woman from a protected upbringing, living for a few months in a foreign country, to be ready to defend herself from harsh interrogation practices.
There is no physical evidence she committed the murder.

They found a knife at the murder scene with her fingerprints on it. Of course, since the murder took place in the apartment that Knox and her roommate shared, I'm pretty sure you would find her fingerprints all over the place.
Oh, and the police claim she was "not sad enough"after being told her roommate was dead.

She’s been found guilty, then that was overturned on appeal and the appeal verdict has been found to be unsafe and the original guilty verdict re-instated.
There’s a moral to this tale.
If stuck in a murder ‘scene’ don’t blame innocent people for the murder, don’t change your story a load of times, don’t say people were there who weren’t there, don’t lie and lie over and over, etc, etc.
