Where to live in Nottingham UK?

Young family, looking for single family home in an area close to parks and/or shopping and not near student housing. Price range 800-1200 3+bedrooms. We are going to look soon and have not been there before. Thanks for the advise!

Update:

Work is at Waltham on the Wolds. Hope that helps.

Depends on where you are working, Nottingham is not a city that you would live the opposite side of to work very busy with rush hours...... personally I would never live in the City but in one of the local areas/boroughs with rail/bus links in to the city or one of the many fabulous villages............

You would have to visit and see for yourself, Nottingham is a student city with 2 Unis plus the Uni hospital, so full of students which live in the city........

Source(s): ADD>If you are working in Waltham on the Wolds LEICESTERSHIRE then why are you wanting to live in Nottinghamshire,? http://www.walthamonthewolds.co.uk/ or even Melton Mowbray which is a lovely Market Town and far nicer than Nottingham plus much easier to get to work

You can get quite a lot for the money you are offering. I would suggest, Mapperley, Mapperley park or Arnold.
