Is there a type of birth control that makes you lose weight ?

    Open Wikipedia and read about birth control types: pay attention to ones with gestodene as a progestin component. Then, read exactly about gestodene: the only progestin which is not affecting metabolism, so, it means, minimum impact on weight. It was good news. The bad news: US doesn't have gestodene pills. And the only way to get them is to order them online. Or to wait until FDA will approve them. Others affect metabolism.

    No. Hormonal birth control (which is what I assume you're asking about) tricks your body into thinking its already pregnant, which is why you won't ovulate and there will be no egg available for fertilization. When your body thinks its pregnant, you'll gain weight.
