Taxes for selling online Sales Tax in CT?
I am reading that i do not have to pay sales tax for items sold in other states where i dont have a physical presence.
Whats is the deal on this if i run a website selling items online.

if you sell to people in your state you need to get a sales tax id number from your state agency
that's the only way you can legally charge and collect sales tax in your state
this would be the same for any state if you wanted to get registered in all of them

If you are selling to customers in your state, then you collect tax, the same as if they were in a store.
If you are selling to customers in other states, then you don't collect tax.
Having a website doesn't change anything.
