Are Cody James 2x hats cheap?

So I bought a 2x Cody James Denver style cowboy hat from baskins yesterday. I like it and it looks good but my dad just kinda shook his head. If I wear a 2x hat around how stupid am I gonna look?

If you like cowboy hats they look fine. You won't look odd unless you live in a place where no one wears cowboy hats.
