I have a problem when I am lying in bed and raise my left leg straight into the air....?

I currently suffer from sciatica also, a condition that involves irritation to one of thr spinal nerves and affects my back and mostly my left leg.

Could this be related or something like a fracture or different condition?

Update:

Oops I did not mention that my concern is that I hear a loud crack when I raise my leg straight when I am lying in bed. It feels around my left hip or buttock area, below my lower back.

Can be related to slipped disk or degenerative disk diseases, especially if the pain is radiating all the way down to legs or foot. If no radiating pain, maybe it is just a form of muscle spasm.
