What does the Y represent when it is placed after my child's swimming event time?
While reviewing the swimming events for my daughter, the times for the meet are listed and after each time, there's a capital letter 'Y'.
Also, how do I determine whether she has a B or a BB time?

It stands for Yards some peoples times may have been in meters and some could be yards so putting the letter could be the way of separating the times for organization and speed purposes.

It might stand for yards. Most swim events in the US are in yards, however some events outside of the US are in meters.
