No "holes"? Fillings?

I removed my 1 wisdom tooth (lower left) on December 5th. Everything healed smoothly. I have an appointment for a "filling"? I don't know what that means and I want to know. I don't have "holes" at the extraction site and so why do i need a "filling"?

A filling is what you get when you have a cavity in a tooth. Your wisdom tooth healed up fine, but it sounds like a different tooth may have had a cavity in it.
