What was the movie where a couple are trying to get out of a house but the owners won't let them?

I remember watching this movie maybe 9 or 10 years ago, and it seemed kind of old at the time. It was about a couple who stayed at these strangers house and when they tried to leave they couldn't. It was like the owners were keeping them there but were acting like they didn't know what the couple was talking about. So throughout the movie the couple is trying to get out of the house without the owners knowing.
