What I mean by adult life, is that it takes place outside of a high school. I'm tired of this plot high school plot lol.

The protagonist in Kara no Shojo is an adult but he ends up visiting a high school a lot in his investigation, so it's not school-free.

Demonbane has no school involved as far as I know

All the characters in Bionic Heart are definitely adult, there's no school anywhere

Aoishiro is about school-aged characters but the entire thing takes place on a vacation so there's no actual school time.
