help...ficus retusa bonsai?

I received a ficus microcarpa retusa for Christmas but I do not know anything of this plant. I am only a teenager but I don't want the plant to die so I want to do the best I can do to keep it alive. The major problem I have is how much fertilizer do I give it and how do I apply it..I know the elements should be even but at what number?

thank you so much.

Check out the website listed below. It is specifically designed to help beginners to the art of bonsai. Ficus is one of the easier bonsai trees to care for and can survive indoors and outdoors depending on where you live. If you go to the website, they have a very simple explanation for fertilizing on the "Fertilizing" page and you can also track what you should be doing each month by going to the "Care Calendar" page.

    I hope this helps!
