screenshot snapchat on android?

I have a tmobile Samsung galaxy s2 and whenever I tried screenshotting (off and home), it always turns off the phone. Any help?

You hold three key at a time. power key, volume down key, and home key. You hold the keys for two second and release them. Your phone will take a screenshot for you.

press power button and volume down ( - ) button together...

at least hold for 2 to 3 seconds...
