Sophia - Althea, Ophelia, Seraphina, Sonia, Sophronia
I HATE Sophia. I don't think I'd ever use any of these names. the best one I guess is Ophelia because of the Shakespeare reference.
Emma - Alma, Gemma, Edna, Esme, Etta
I love Emma, Gemma, and Edna, although Edna is probably my favorite.
Isabella - Adela, Arabella, Estella, Isadora, Isolde
All these names make me want to vomit. They are the opposite of what I like.
Olivia - Lavinia, Lydia, Odessa, Olive, Sylvia
The only one of these names I at all like is Lydia because of Beetlejuice. I have friends that have daughters named Lydia and Sylvia.
Ava - Ada, Alva, Aviva, Avril, Maeve
The only one of these names that is acceptable in my opinion is Maeve. I just really don't like the others.
Emily - Amelie, Amity, Elodie, Emmeline, Romilly
I am not thrilled with any of these names.
Abigail - Amabel, April, Arielle, Gabrielle, Tabitha
April is actually on our names list. It's my husband's favorite girl's name.
Mia - Gia, Mila, Mina, Moira, Tia
Mia is OK, but I don't like the other ones at all.
Madison - Allison, Magdalene, Marilyn, Megan, Rosalyn
I don't like any of these either.
Elizabeth - Bethany, Eliza, Eloise, Elspeth, Lisette
Elizabeth and Bethany are OK, but the rest are yucky.
I really don't like a lot of these names. I've always liked names that are more "old fashioned" than what is considered cool. I like names like Mabel (Mae), Jane, and Esther(Tess). My grandmother says I was born at the wrong time and should've been born more like during her time.
