YOLO has been around for a while in the music industry but the rapper Drake made it popular again in the past year in the song "The Motto"

But he is not credited to making the slogan it has been around for a very long time and many artists have used it in their songs

Drake, a rapper, made a song called the motto which also featured lil wayne and tyga. It had the words, "You only live once thats the motto n**** yolo." So people started using the word and now it is as expired as the dinosaurs.

    Origin

The earliest known use of the acronym is attributed to Adam Mesh from the third season of the NBC reality show The Average Joe. Mesh launched the “You Only Live Once” (YOLO) clothing line on March 20th, 2004.

Who cares?! as long as that expression has died off. Stupid to begin with

It's really just the modernized version of

'Carpe Diem' which means "seize the day"
