    This is difficult to say for sure:

    GD 1 fatty liver seems to indicate that this is Grade 1 fatty liver of which

    could means the amount of fat inside the liver is small. A healthy liver

    usually has up to 5% of fat that doesn't really cause any problems at all

    to the patient. It isn't until it gets closer to the 10% that it may cause

    damage to the liver cells. Just stating Grade 1 here doesn't indicate

    whether or not this is throughout the liver (diffuse) infiltration or focal

    (only in one area).

    However, Grade 1 fatty infiltration of the liver with focal fatty sparing

    can means that the fat is throughout the liver, but only in certain

    places it is not found.

    In this article it states:

    "We conclude that focal sparing occurs frequently in patients with

    liver steatosis, especially in segments 4 and 5."

    This is really a tough question. As one can not be sure by the

    description what is really meant.

    However, it depends on the cause whether it can be stopped or

    treated and be reversed. Some causes of fatty liver disease are

    alcohol consumption, certain kinds of medications (like steriods),

    high cholesterol/triglyceride levels, metabolic disorders,

    diabetes, insulin resistance, weight gain (obesity), fast weight

    loss, malnourishment, etc. As you can see, stopping the cause,

    getting treatment or diet, etc.,can help the liver heal. The liver does regenerate new cells and the condition in both cases can mostly be reversed. With Grade 1, the condition would be at a very

    early stage of this disease.

    i know some informatinon a bout Fatty Liver Grade 1. This is an abnormal condition of the liver where there is excess fatty infiltration in the liver or in simpler words, excess accumulation of fats in the liver cells. This causes the liver to expand and adds more weight to the organ.
