Yolo is an acronym for 'you only live once'. Usually it's an encouragement to someone to take a risk, and not to be too cautious. Not totally sure why it's being used in your example, need a bit more context.
Edit.: now you added the edit, I think he's just telling you to get a life - that is, stop asking nerdy questions
