How to market a web application for entrepreneurs and small businesses?
I have created a web based application that has a calendar, appointment page, clients page, services and products page, email sending page, notes, users, promotions page and so on... it has really become a huge software. My gf who is a wedding photographer and an entrepreneur is using it and has more than 100 clients in it, so the software has proved that it actually works in real business. (of course small size business)
Now I am thinking how I can actually market this. Either by selling the whole site to a software company or selling memberships for entrepreneurs.
I am not sure how to do this part.
Any ideas will be appreciated :)

You can make blogs about your software and articles and submit it on the different sites it will help other people know about your software and make a page on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter etc. You select what is suitable to you one best option is enhance google to take your software.

The big money could come from some giant like Google to buy your company after you have demonstrated the popularity of the product, pedaling some relatively uknown software is probably difficult ans not real profitable.
Could save lots of time to partner with an established service yours would compliment, or you might offer a tailored version to companies with an established membership who could employ it.
I have the least ideas as to how you effectively market a new monthly service, there are ready made membership site support scripts and services that can handle the sign up and management.
Certainly investing in a press release perhaps using a paid distribution service like prweb.com ($89) can help get report of your new innovative service into some news outlets.
