Good list there. A definitive favourite list for me would be impossible because it would take forever to remember every song I have heard. Plus there are so many well known songs I'm sure that I have never heard. I would also have the problem of deciding which ones to leave off and which ones to include because there is so many and my opinion always changes. Another problem would be ordering them. Impossible! Though off the top of my head, these songs would definitely be on my list. Laugh if you think I have poor taste in music. I don't care. Plus this list only regards popular music. no classical or world. Rules - only one song per artist. The songs I have chosen are not the songs that I think are the best from these artists just the ones that i enjoy the most.

Frank Zappa - Watermelon In Easter Hay

Cheap Trick - If You Want My Love

Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade Of Pale

    Elvis Presley - Paralyzed

    The Beatles - Something

    Underworld - Born Slippy .NUXX

    Enigma - Return To Innocence

    The Lightning Seeds - Change

    Santana - Samba Pa Ti

    AIR - Ce Matin-Là

The Eagles - One Of These Nights

Freddie Mercury - The Great Pretender

Queen - I Want To Break Free

Gene Chandler - Duke Of Earl

Rolling Stones - You Can't Always Get What You Want

Joe South - Games People Play

    The Wallflowers - One Headlight

U2 - Pride (In The Name Of Love)

Michael Jackson - Will You Be There

    Isaac Hayes - Shaft Theme

Bee Gees - You Win Again

    Joe Jackson - Steppin Out

Pet Shop Boys - Se A Vida E (That's The Way Life Is)

    Beach Boys - Getcha Back

Good list. A few wouldn't make my list, and the order would be vastly different.
