What is the meaning of this, that Percocet is classified as a Schedule II drug ?

Schedule 2 drugs are drugs that have a high potential for abuse such as painkillers and such they have some what of a medical purpose but are very addictive...class 1 drugs are ones that have no medical purpose such as heroin meth etc illegal drugs.. type 3 drugs are ones that have less of a chance for abuse but are still prescribed.. and class 4 drugs are your over the counter drugsSource(s): Paramedic

Tylenol was added by the manufacturers to change the drug class. But it never really changed the medicine at all. So this was always a Class 11 drug, though no one was really looking.
