I still own a VCR and have a few VHS tapes for it, mostly of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I totally loved these cartoons growing up and just haven't been able to part with them, so they stay tucked away safely in my office. I haven't watched them in a long time, but they are there in the event I ever get the urge. Everything else I own is on DVD and BluRay.

No, VHS are like Cassette Tapes, they're too much work. I'm glad DVD's came out. The only reason I wouldn't mind going back to a time where these were ideal formats is only because of the appreciation we all had for watching our favorite parts of movies or listening to songs. All the fast forwarding and rewinding gave us all an appreciation for what we were watching because of the labor. I think small things like this help make the world a better place, DVD's are too easy, and now THEY'RE not enough for us, we want something better and more modern. Which is exactly my point.... : )

Source(s): To answer the question (Again), No, I do not own or watch VHS, buy I wish we all 'Had' to. Same as the 'watching commercials' thing. Of course, we don't have to do that today, and noone wants to, but sitting through commercials (Again) formed that aporeciation. Im too impatient to go back in time, but If we had to I would appreciate it... (get it) : )

I still have my old VCR, but it broke a few years ago! Use to watch video tapes on there through the years and recorded the Backstreet Boys music videos and all sorts of movies on my player before it broke after LOST ended in 2006. :( The library stopped renting out videos in 2007 and they got rid of 4 shelves full. My last video I rented from them was Xena Season 1! lol My player still sits under my analog tv that I still have too along with my dvd player, Playstation 1 and Super Nintendo! Who needs a flat screen tv when you still have a 32 in. tv that still works great! :D

My family had a huge collection of video tapes over 200-300 in a big box and I would always have to dig to watch a movie after school back in the 90's! I remember when dvds first came out and it was $26-28 just to buy 1! lol I eventually did when vhs tapes stopped selling in 2004. I also didnt stop buying cassette tapes when CDS first came out and they were expensive!! But, my first CDs I bought was Boyz II Men and Hootie and the Blowfish. I hope to try to fix my VCR sometime soon so I can play videos on it again! I have so many just collecting dust now and I really want to upload old shows and commercials on Youtube when I get it working again.

No I don't even have a VHS player. The only movie I have on VHS is In the Mouth of Madness. The first time I saw it was on VHS so I'm keeping it. I bought it on DVD too.

Yeah but very few. I have a couple dozen VHS tapes I haven't bought on DVD yet, so I watch them on my VCR/DVD player.
