The European France is located in the Northern Hemisphere nowhere near the Equator. Some of France's Pacific/Indian islands (Reunion etc.) are located in the Southern Hemisphere, close to the Tropic of Capricorn, but again not on the Equator.

The equator isn't in France. It hits a little after the middle of Africa. That's as close to the equator as France can get.

I just hope this is a foolish question. Study a few minutes of geography or look at any search and you will find that Paris, France is a little more than half way between the equator and the north pole.

I'm sorry, but the equator is no where near France. However, the prime meridian does slice through the western third of the country. Viva La France!
