Can someone give me some ideas for a small, cute tattoo to either go on my wrist or ankle.?

I'm 18 and have decided to get a tattoo either on my wrist or ankle (i know how painful these places may be), but was wondering if anyone could help me with ideas on what to get? Preferably small and cute.

O.k some things people might have already said but make good points.... 1) Think long & hard about what your getting & why, is it meaningful to you, will it be with you for the rest of you life like the tattoo will 2) Make sure you find a great artist in a clean enviroment & not some nutsack that can't draw worth a **** & might use dirty tools 3) Don't get one just because you're turning 16 4) DO NOT expect 1 tattoo to some up all your intrest & what not because if you some everything up in 1 tattoo it will look to busy & that wil take away from the art work O.k so with that out of the way maybe you should start off small if you can find a pro who will do a tattoo for you or you could find a design with stuff you like & get one of those tattoos they spray on or something like that ( I think they last for a few weeks) and see how you like it that way you can be for sure about what you want.......whatever you do do make sure it's meaningful to you

Just remember that red ink can contain mercury so best to avoid that color.

Also small tattoos exposed to the sun regularly (like an ankle or wrist tattoo) will fade quickly and edges of the art work will start looking blotchy and difficult to determine what it is the artist drew.

Then a lot of money wasted and pain endured.

Go over to Pinterest and look at the boards there are loads of tattoo inspirations on there. Here's a few I like:

    - Arrow tattoo, because of the quote "an arrow can only go forward if it gets pulled back. So when life is dragging you back, remember you are about to be thrown into something great."

    - (can't see this very clear but the top of the M is shaped to be a bird flying away)

Tattoos can look nice even if they don't have meaning :)

It sounds as though you are getting a tattoo just for the sake of getting a tattoo. This is not a good idea. You should get something that you like and that has some meaning to you, otherwise you will regret it later.
