why did you change my email?
I do not like what you have done. WHY mess with something when it is working just fine. I am so upset about this change that I am thinking of changing my home page from yahoo to something else. It is not as friendly accessible as it was before. You keep changing things and it make it worse. Sorry, but that is my opinion.

Yahoo has discontinued Yahoo Classic. As the article below says once the switch to the new version has taken place you can't go back to the previous version. The article also contain a link to an overview of the new email.

I'm running the new full version of Yahoo mail on an 8 year old laptop running Windows XP SP 3 with 2 gig of memory. The tips in the article above were most helpful. I also needed to make sure I'd downloaded all the latest Windows updates and I did have to install the latest versions of Java and Adobe Flash Player. I had to abandon IE8 because it's the latest version that Windows XP will support and the perfromance with Yahoo Mail was very poor. I installed the latest version of Firefox, Chrome, and Safari for Windows to see which one works best on my laptop. After these changes Yahoo Mail runs almost as fast as Yahoo Classic and I've had no issues yet.
If the new full-featured version of Yahoo mail isn't for you, you should check out Yahoo Basic. Your email is displayed in page view (25 emails per page) and you have the standard First page, Next page, Previous page, and Last page controls.

If you're in the market for a new email provider because you don't like either the full version or Yahoo Basic, I'm told that Inbox.com looks and works much like Yahoo Classic. If you don't like that one there are a dozen more listed in the article below that you can try. You're bound to like one more than you like the new Yahoo mail.

Robert - You may not realize this but this is a user forum and it isn't monitored by Yahoo. So you can shout all your like and Yahoo wouldn't hear you. I have been working on understanding the newest format and I can honestly say that I do like it....Below should help in the transition
It appears that the changes to the email page format has not affected everyone at this time. For those that have been changed below links will help somewhat. For what it does not cover you can ask specific
questions to receive an answer.
Once the change has occurred to your email format you cannot
change it other than switching to the Basic Format.
BASIC VERSION....in the NEWEST VERSION.…
Hover your pointer over the GEAR...upper right...click on SETTINGS...click on VIEWING EMAIL
Place a check mark left of BASIC......click SAVE.
This HELP link is specifically about CONTACTS in the Newest email page change
For your convenience this link is an overview of the recent changes to the email page
This may also help.
To display the options you can get by SORT BY DATE in the New format
do the following. Hover the pointer over the GEAR...upper right
Click on SETTINGS....remove, if any, check marks to the left
of Enable Conversations/Show snipets...click SAVE
Now when your inbox is displayed click on VIEW above your emails
on the right side to bring up drop down menu with those options.
NOTE; to place the check marks to the left of Enable Conversations/show snipets click on VIEW EMAIL....place the check
mark in the box left of Enable Conversations...click on SAVE.
You should do this so when you click on VIEW above the emails the drop down menu is mostly different and you will know the different options.

Yahoo has a practice of changing "user friendly " formats into a a disastrous change.
Whomever is responsible for the changes are certainly not " top shelf " !
But.... we have no say or choice but to go " our way, or no way " !
