If the United States defaults it will have a devastating effect on the global economy and stock markets world wide. It would be a 1,000 times more devastating than the Great Depression of the 1930s. Nationally it would likely toss the country into a revolt to which we haven't seen before but in effect could afford a major change in everything that is long overdue - plain and simple its a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" type of situation.
Stay in tune with the Debt Limit Vote coming up on 17 October ~ every American should be paying attention to this vote.

There was a time when I would have thought it was impossible.
Looking at the bunch of morons we have put in charge, I'd say it's about 60-40 we don't.
In the long run, we pay more for money at every level. In the short term. the stock market gets hit and a lot of benchmark pricing will go into a brief freefall.

I think so. Result: economic apocalypse. Much, much, much worse than 2008, 10 years of depression minimum. I hope I'm wrong.
