How can Cons say Bill Clinton did not win in a landslide in 1996 when he carried several red states besides?

those that are reliably blue? He carried Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Louisiana, Arkansas and others.THOSE ARE RED STATES!

Update:

Bill won by @ an 8% pt. difference. Sounds like a landslide to me.

Because he never got a majority of the votes in either presidential election. In both elections he got somewhere abour 45% of the vote. I guess technically an 8 point difference could be a landslide it's just that when Republicans win by a landslide they usually get more than 50% of the votes and in one instance carry 49 states!

By the way there are only 50 states in case you where confused!

8% overall is definitely a landslide. Your supporting evidence, however, weakens your argument by making you look like you don't know what you are talking about.

West Virginia is well known as a Blue state. I'm not going to bother researching the others right now - you couldn't be bothered to do any research, why should we?

They were compared to the huge wins for Reagan and Bush Sr in the 80's

And he ended up with a Republican Congress, making re-election a hollow victory for Clinton.
