    Yes and counter-snipers also.

They have to be FBI agents with at least 5 years service, show talent and take the specialized training.

    Previous experience is not required.

The FBI HRT has about 14 agents throughout the US who are snipers.

The uniformed division of the Secret Service employees the most. Well over 14 just in the DC area

There are scout/snipers in every SWAT-type special squads. The FBI has it's own requirements, just as very police department does. One of the deputies I supervised was selected as a scout/sniper for our SORT team after three years on the job, and being invited to try out by someone already on the team.

I have met a couple of Federal Game Wardens that could do the job. And I am sure if need arose they would volunteer for the job. So that would make them available if need was there. What the FBI has I do not know. I am sure they can find some.
