Be prepared for the weather - it's unpredictable, lovely and sunny one minute bucketing down rain the next.

If your in the West and you enjoy hiking / scenery then visit Connemarra in Galway or climb croagh Patrick in Mayo. Westport is a lovely little tourist town, lovely atmosphere.

Dublin city is full of history and there is plenty to see.

Down south is Cork and Kerry, again lots of lovely scenery. If bike riding and exploring are you thing then do the ring of Kerry. will give you plenty of ideas

Enjoy your time in Ireland :)

Agree with lorraine. The weather is highly unpredictable, especially during the summer and especially at the moment. Ireland is very rural. Everyone either knows you directly, knows someone who knows you or at least knows of you.
