Has Luciano pavarotti ever performed as choir for the symphoney N09 of Beethoven?(10 points best answer)?

No, Luciano Pavarotti never sang the *tenor solo* part in the Ninth. Ever.
That being said, it clearly doesn't have anything to do with Pavarotti being an ''opera guy'' (''fellow'' tenor Plácido Domingo has performed and made some recordings of the Ninth...) nor with Beethoven being decidedly ''opera'' (he DID write an opera - Leonore/Fidelio) - rather with *Fach* ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fach#Jugendlicher_Hel... ).
Beethoven's SOLO tenor part in the Ninth calls for a Heldentenor with easy but ''heavy'' high As, Bbs and occasional Bs and Cs '' with brightness necessary to pierce a thick orchestral texture.''
Luciano Pavarotti was a *Lyric Tenor* and so lacked the ''heaviness'' needed for the part while Domingo is a ''Spinto Tenor'' with sufficient vocal weight for the part.

Hmmm... it has a choral movement, popularly called "Ode to Joy" but I would have to say no, he has never performed it. Pavarotti is an opera guy, and Beethoven is decidedly not opera. Pavarotti did perform some popular music, though. I think the question should be did he ever perform Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love"?Source(s): Youtube, Wikipedia.
