Cost of boat insurance simply has too many "personalized" variables. . . Your carrier, the type and amount of coverage you need or want. . . ie: you, your age, your (auto) driving record, past claims, where (and how) you keep it and plan to use it, and of course, your boating experience.
The good news is - being a sailboat it will be much cheaper then a powerboat. Normally, the very best place to get the best rates for boat insurance is from your "Homeowners" insurance carrier - if you own a home - and if they provide boat coverage.
After that, Geico, BoatUS and many others are good. Usually, "bundled" insurance is cheaper, so if you have auto insurance, get a quote form them. . . Whatever - it certainly pays to shop around.

It costs whatever it costs. Yahoo! Answers is not an insurance agency. Go talk to an insurance broker who specializes in that sort of insurance.
