How can I add custom screensavers to my Kindle Touch?

I have a non-ad supported Kindle Touch, without a jailbreak. I am bored with the regular 'savers' and wanted to add in some of my own. If you could help, I will love you forever!

System:

Kindle Touch running FW 5.3.7

*non-ad support

*non-jailbreak

Dell laptop running Windows 7

You cannot. The Kindle eInk models do not support user-added or custom screensavers. In the past some have hacked the Kindle (possible an earlier model) to get it to load screensavers out of the flash memory. But I have not heard anything about that recently. I do remember people had to undo the hack before getting a firmware update and I believe it voided your warranty.

Did you actually reboot the device? I don't mean to simply put it into normal sleep mode, but an actual reboot which you can do from the settings menu. When I hacked mine, I had to make sure to reboot before the screen savers worked.
