Ok first calulate how mush milk has been used
3 x 700 = 2100 ( for the children
500 mml for the wife
2100 + 500 = 2600 already use
what is left is 3000- 2600 = 400 mls for the husband

As we are dividing up a quantity in litres we should convert to millilitres.
So, 3 litres = 3000ml
Children --> 3 x 700ml = 2100ml
Wife --> 500ml
Children + Wife --> 2600ml
The mans gets 400ml
