What to get a 14 year old girl for her birthday?

She's having a giant party at this riverside hotel. I'm not entirely sure a gift is appropriate for such a setting, as I've never been to a "fancy" birthday party. She likes to sing and listen to music. I don't want to get her clothes or whatever, as I just take whatever is in the clearance section at the local thrift store for myself. Help is much appreciated.
