Even if Americans supported military action in Syria, how can we afford it?

How can we even afford military action in Syria right now?

"WASHINGTON -- The U.S. will run out of borrowing authority under the nation's $16.7-trillion debt limit in mid-October, Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew formally told Congress on Monday as he implored lawmakers to act soon to avoid a government default." http://www.latimes.com/business/money/la-fi-mo-deb...

Yet we have hundreds of millions / billions to enter this country into yet ANOTHER armed conflict?

When you're broke and $16 Trillion in debt (as we now are thanks to the

Obama spending machine), you can't afford it. Congress has even tried

to put a spending cap in place so we can't keep doing the same, but that

was over-ruled by Democrats so Obama could keep on spending, which

he has certainly done. I don't know where money is coming from now to

pay our obligations. I can't operate my own budget that way.

We're just firing missiles at them. It's no big action. Not a big expense, just useless. President Obama hasn't explained what he intends to do, in a general way, or why. He said today that people are worried it would be like Iraq, but it won't be. Not giving much explanation of why the country is taking action.

No need to pay anything. At least 7 countries, world leaders are taking part as well.

We can afford it because stability is an all important concern for us. If we don't do anything and let the world burn down around us, we lose.

We don't have the money is an excuse to cease all operations of the government, isn't it?
