Tortoise keeping has been a favorite pastime of people for hundreds of years.

In some cultures the tortoise is even seen as a major force of nature carrying the world on its back.

In other cultures it is seen as a symbol of long and prosperous life.

A is seen as B.(被動態動詞)

In some cultures, they are food for very good soup. Yum!

In some cultures, the tortoise (is even seen as) a major force of nature (carrying the world on its back).

In other cultures, it (is seen as) a symbol of long and prosperous life.

*be seen as = be viewed as>>被視為...+名詞

    *a major force of nature>>名詞片語,作受詞用。

*a symbol of long and prosperous life>>名詞片語,作受詞用。

keep: [Tn] own and look after (animals) for one's use or enjoyment

the reason i used "神物" is because with such a great power to carrying the world on its back, that makes it a mysterious, and powerful creature.

If you directly translate "force" into power, then it would only confuse readers.

"how can a animal becomes a nature force"

So it is more likely to be labor force, as to mean someone to move things around.

In the cosmological myths of several cultures a World Turtle carries the world upon its back or supports the heavens

我覺得單看整段 a major force of nature carrying the world on its back.

    Tortoise keeping

再來,is seen as= 被視為(你會被動

a major force of nature

carrying the world on its back(片語:carrying sth on one‘s back),所以its指的是 the tortoise 。→the tortoise carries the world on its back.

The Top 10 Reasons people don't live a prosperous life(富足、繁盛的生活)

In other cultures it is seen as a symbol of long and prosperous life.(用上一句去類推)
