First trip to India (Delhi - Agra - Jaipur - Delhi?)?

I'm starting to plan a trip to India with my brother, We will probably be spending about 2-3 weeks and I was wondering if this rout seemed like a good Idea. How many days would we need in each?

I guess the main attraction is the Taj Mahal but we are open to anything. I would like to see a bit of rural India if possible too.

Also, how long would it take to get to the Himalayas and where would be a good place to see them?

I'm just after any suggestions or recommendations for stuff around the New Delhi area.

I agree with you Delhi - Agra - Jaipur are great destinations during first trip to India. And Taj is no doubt one of the most preferable.

So below the list of top visit in Delhi or near Delhi.

    1. Red Fort

    2. Jama Masjid

    3. Qutab Minar

    4. Lotus Temple

    5. India Gate

    6. Humayun’s Tomb

    7. Lodi Garden

    8. Chandani Chowk

    9. Akshardham Temple

    10. Connaught Place

There is no much to see in rural area, it would be better to visit somewhere else in India. If you are planning to visit Himalaya, you may to have to travel 14hour-15hour journey from New Delhi by Train or Taxi.

Hope , you have now better idea where you should visit. Final choice is yours.
