I need some book recommendations?

Hi! I'm 14 and I need a few recommendations.

Some authors I like (that I probably don't need any recommendations for) are:

John Green

David Levithan

Stephen King

Rick Riordan

J.R.R. Tolkien

Some books I like are:

The Help

The Maze Runner

John Dies at the End

P.S. Your Cat is Dead

The Hunger Games Books (though not my favorite)

Lord of the Flies

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Books

The Harry Potter Books

A Tree Grows In Brooklyn

Catcher in the Rye

I like horror books, romance novels (but not like "mom" romance novels), science fiction, mythological, fantasy, realistic fiction (I'm not too picky on genres).

I would just like a lot of suggestions because I like to read. Thanks!

Update:

I also enjoy serial killer novels or books about insane people. I'm a big fan of Edgar Allen Poe because he always knows how to turn stomachs. Misery is one of my favorite Stephen King books, also.

Any mental illness sort of books entertain me (Winter Girls, Girl Interrupted...)

Try some of the following authors (I've added a good starting point/novel for each):

    Joe Hill (Horns)

    Peter Clines (14)

    Ernest Cline (Ready Player One)

    Terry Pratchett (Guards! Guards!)

    Neil Gaiman (Neverwhere)

    Scott Westerfeld (Peeps)

    John Scalzi (Redshirts)

    Kameron Hurley (God's War)

Kage Baker (In the Garden of Iden)

    Connie Willis (Doomsday Book)

    Lauren Beukes (Zoo City)

    Jim C Hines (Goblin Quest)

    Naomi Novik (His Majesty's Dragon)

    Libba Bray (The Diviners)

Sheri S Tepper (A Plague of Angels)

The Mortal Instruments series and the Infernal Devices series are fab- basically anything by Cassandra Clare is great!

If you like John Green, you've probably read it, but A Fault In Our Stars is amazing.

We Need To Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver is one of the best books I've read so far, and it really hits you hard, that falls under realistic fiction and the stuff you listed in Additional Details.

You have got two classics down there, so if you like that sort of thing I would really recommend the Sherlock Holmes series (especially A Study In Scarlet) by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and I would also say Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas is awesome, its fantasy but I think it's an acquired taste... If you like Lord Of The Rings and romance, you'll probably like it.

    Good luck!

    DIVERGENT BY VERONICA ROTH

    IT'S A SERIES

    THERE IS DIVERGENT

    INSURGENT

AND ALLEGENT IS COMING OUT ON OCTOBER 22

It's such a great book, please read. My fav character is Four <3

This takes place in a futuristic Chicago

There are 5 factions in this society. At the age of 16, your future is decided and you are out into one of the five factions available. Your faction is determined by a simulation.

There are requirements for the factions each one having different rules.

The main character is Beatrice. She lives with her mother and father and brother in the abnegation faction (selfless people). They always think about other people before themselves. She goes to the choosing ceremony and picks a desired faction. (She has the option to choose to stay with her family or ditch them for her future) I would tel, you which faction she chose and what happens in the book but it is very interesting and you can't put it down! I don't wanna ruin it for you
