英文i am glad you come to see us
forgive for my ignorance
i wanna ask whether it had a grammatical problem "i am glad you come to see us"
why this sentence could contain two verbs
or it's because "am" was not exactly a verb
or it should change to "i am glad you came to see us "

其實這句是省略了 that 這個字，你可把這句看成：
I am glad (that) you come to see us.
主句是 I am glad，至於 you come to see us 只是一個 phrase。
即使「整句句子」有多於一個 verb ，但如果「主句」只有一個 verb 的話，文法依然正確。
you come to see us 這個 phrase 實際上並不屬於主句的一部分，它只是用來增潤主句的意思，文法上可有可無，對主句的結構沒有影響。

很多時候，句子中的 that 都會被省略，所以只要把 that 加回就可以理解了。Source(s): 自己

“you come to see us” 不是 phrase, 是 clause, 因有 finite verb “come”
在原句, 屬于 complement clause, complement to the adjective “glad”.

I am glad you come to see us = I am glad that you come to see us.
(that) you come to see us. = this part is a clause in this complex sentence telling you why I am glad.
That is the conjunction in the said sentence to join two sentences into one complex sentence and can be taken out.
Verb = 勭詞 normally consists action
Verb to be=也是動詞相等於中文的( 是)

---With the omission of "that", you can treat the sentence as putting back"that".
eg:-I am glad that you came (past tense) to see me.
The treating SVO :-
eg:-I = S
am glad = V
------------=O as complement adj cl=that you came to see me.
The passive usage in this non-defining relative clause:-
eg:-ND = S
(,)that come to see us (,) = adj cl as non-def. ND
made me glad. = V
The usage of that cannot be omitted "that":-
That may be used to replace who, whom and which. But don't allow a preposition appear before THAT in an adjective clause to become in that --on that--etc.which might relate wrongly. Hence "that" is used in non-defining clause(adj cl.) here , just to add something .Hence "I am glad that you come to see us."
