Visit the FBI and the U.S. Marshals Service websites. There is a lot of information there. You should choose a major that interests you, that is marketable, and that could be useful for law enforcement work. Consider choosing accounting, computer science, a foreign language, or law as your major. When choosing a major, consider what you might want to do if you decide not to become a law enforcement officer or if you can't become a law enforcement officer. Whatever major you choose, make the most of your time in college. Make sure to choose a school that is properly accredited, get the highest grade point average that you can, participate in a couple extracurricular activities, get a good internship, do some regular volunteer work, don't do anything illegal, and maintain a good reputation. Consider getting an advanced degree. There are many federal agencies that have criminal investigators or special agents. Consider other agencies too. Best of luck!Source(s): http://www.peaceofficerjobs.com/

Join the military the Coast Guard, our friend is a US Marshal right now and she is
serving in the Coast Guard too. With FBI you have to be a certain age, know how to write
reports, work alone or with a partner and retire at a certain age.
