What does FERS have to do with Obamacare?

Question

Someone was trying to tell me that Congress is exempt from Obamacare, part of it is under FERS. From what I've read Congress is not exempt. Anybody shed some light on this?

Absolutely nothing.

FERS exempts congressional staff from having to pay into Social Security but they still have to possess heathcare coverage as mandated in Obamacare.
