How is this PC for gaming?

Intel Core i5-3470 Processor

MSI B75MA-P45 Motherboard

XFX Radeon HD 7870 Graphics Card

8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM

1TB Western Digital Caviar Black Hard Drive

NZXT Source 220 Case

    Generally speaking you got a wonderful gaming pc there :)

    I would suggest, if you are a hardcore gamer, get 16GB of ram for maximum performance, but usually 8GB would do the job just fine. Get a really good heatsink fan, you know copper tube and aluminum stuff on it. Also I'm not sure if you have tried using Windows 8 because it's far more difficult than Windows 7. I recommend to run games on the external Graphic card at all time and never use the internal unless it's for setups.

    At 1080p expect 40 fps or higher at medium to high settings

    2560 X 1440 expect 20 fps or higher at medium

    Looks good. Enjoy gaming.

    About the only current game you wont be able to play at the highest of settings is Crysis3.

    it's pretty decent you should be able to run most games on high to max settings depending on what resolution the screen is.
